WhatsApp charges by 24-hour conversation windows, depending on who sent the first message. Once a conversation window is open, you can send any number of messages to this contact without extra fees.

All WhatsApp usage fees will be paid directly to WhatsApp (Meta).
WhatsApp charges this fee to anyone wanting to use their API to send messages to their users. It's similar to how sending an SMS has a fee as well.
This is because WhatsApp wants to encourage end users to chat with businesses when it's relevant to them. However it doesn't mean that businesses can't start conversations with their users, it just means that it's slightly cheaper to have your users write to you.

Hilos will charge your saved credit card on Stripe at the beginning of the month for your subscription + past month's extra usage.
Payments can be made with a debit or credit card, and we process these payments through Stripe for a safe and secure experience. We do not store any Credit Card information on our servers.
You can also choose how to pay your WhatsApp fees directly on your company's Business Manager on Facebook.
With this feature, your company can have a green tick next to your name when a user opens a conversation with your company's phone number.
There is no extra fee for this service, but make sure you read 360Dialog and Meta's policies on the official requirements.
Instead of charging you per message sent like with SMS, WhatsApp fees are assessed per 24hr conversation windows.
This means that when you first message a contact, WhatsApp opens a conversation and starts a 24hr timer. While you're inside that 24 hr window, you can send and receive unlimited messages with that contact, without extra fees.
However, if after those 24 hours another message is sent, WhatsApp will open a second 24 hr window and charge for it.

Sure! When you start your subscription we'll save your credit card on Stripe and use it every month to pay for your Hilos service automatically.
You can add a credit card to your company's Facebook Business Manager account, and just like with their ads, you can choose your payment method and frecuency.
For example, you can set spending limits so you're charged whenever you go over them (say, everytime you've used $20 USD), or once a month, etc.
