Install Hilos on Android + Chrome
Hilos is built as a web app, which means that you can install it on your Android device in a couple of easy steps.
On Android you can use Hilos fully, including push notifications on new messages and when you're assigned a conversation.
To do so, make sure you have Google Chrome updated to the latest version before following the next steps:
Installation
- First, open https://app.hilos.io on Google Chrome.

- Then, in the 3 vertical dots at the right of the URL bar, select "Install Application"

- You'll get a confirmation pop-up, select "Install" to continue.

- Once it's done, you'll see a notification confirming Hilos was successfully installed.

- You'll now be able to find Hilos in your Home Screen.

Activate notifications
On Android you can enable native push notifications to know when you get a new message or when you're assigned to a new conversation. To do so, follow these steps:
- First, open your installed Hilos app. When you open it and when you login, you'll get a pop-up notification asking for permissions to send you notifications.

- If you didn't give it permissions, or the pop-up didn't show, you can click on the 🔒 lock to the left of the URL bar to open the permissions pop-up for Hilos:

- In there you'll be able to see what Chrome is doing in terms of notifications: if you haven't given permissions to show them, you'll likely see something like the following:

- Tap on the "Notifications" section to approve notifications. You might need to click on the "Reset permissions" button and confirm it.

- All set! Now you should have notifications working on your Android device.
