Setting up your Meta Business Suite Organization

One of the key things you need in order to get started is having a Meta Business account (formerly Facebook Business). We'll guide you in the process of creating one, however if you already have one and wish to use that one instead feel free to skip this step.

What is Meta Business Suite?

One of the first things you might be immediately wondering is What is a Meta Business account? and Why do I even need one?.

Meta Business Suite (formerly Facebook Business) is a tool that helps you manage all the marketing products and tools for your business within Meta's ecosystem, including:

  • Posting on your Facebook Page & your Business's Instagram profile
  • Manage your Messenger inbox
  • Create Facebook and Instagram ads
  • Track Facebook & Instagram insights
  • Access many more tools (Including WhatsApp some that we need in order to setup your WhatsApp API)

Checking if your business already has a Meta Business Account.

Before creating a Meta Business Account please make sure that your company hasn't created one already. If they have please ask your account administrator to add you to the organization. If your company hasn't created an account skip to Creating an organization.

Adding your account to an organization


To get started, you need to:

  • Have a personal Facebook profile
  • Not be in more than 2 organizations

Adding your account to the organization

Ask the account owner to go to Facebook Business

Select the business account from the sidebar and click on the gear icon

On the settings menu click People and Add people

Enter the email address you want to invite to Business Manager

Select Employee and click on Show advanced options. Toggle the 3 options shown and click Next

If your organization already has a WhatsApp number on this business manager, add it under Assign business assets, otherwise just click Next.

Review that all information is correct and click on Send request

All done, check your email for a confirmation email.

To get started, you need to:

Creating your organization

To start off navigate to Facebook Business and clic on Create an account.

Fill all the fields with your business information, once you're done, click on Submit.

Once you're done be sure to check your email and verify your account through the confirmation link

And we're done! Please keep your credentials safe, we'll need to go back to Meta Business later.
